English Christmas and New Year Songs for Children
Jingle Bells
Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O’er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer Lyrics
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitz-en,
But do you recall
The most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (reindeer)
Had a very shiny nose (like a light bulb)
And if you ever saw it (saw it)
You would even say it glows (like a flashlight)
And all of the other reindeer (reindeer)
Used to laugh and call him names (like Pinocchio)
They never let poor Rudolph (Rudolph)
Join in any reindeer games( like monopoly)
Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say, (ho ho ho)
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?
Then all the reindeer loved him,(loved him)
And they shouted out with glee, (Yippee)
Rudolph the red-nose Reindeer (reindeer)
You’ll go down in history
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (reindeer)
Had a very shiny nose (like a light bulb)
And if you ever saw it, (saw it)
You would even say it glows, (like a flashlight)
And all of the other reindeer (reindeer)
Used to laugh and call him names, (like Pinocchio)
They never let poor Rudolph (Rudolph)
Join in any reindeer games, (like monopoly)
Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say, (ho ho ho)
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?
Then how the reindeer loved him, (loved him)
As they shouted out with glee, (Yippee)
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, (reindeer)
You’ll go down in history.
English Christmas and New Year Poems for Children
One, two, three,
It’s a Christmas tree.
Three, two, one,
Christmas is fun.
Christmas is magic,
Christmas is fun.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Snow on the ground,
Snow on the tree,
Snow on the house,
Snow on me.
Winter hat upon my head,
My head stays warm,
But my nose is red!
Crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch,
Up the hill we go.
Sliding, sliding, sliding, sliding,
Down the hill we go.
Christmas Secrets
I know so many secrets
Such secrets full of fun;
But if you hear my secrets,
Please don’t tell anyone.
Here are some lights that twinkle,
Here is an ornament.
Here is a great big present
From Grandpa it was sent.
And on the very tip-tip top,
A bright star you can see,
What is the secret? Can’t you tell?
Why, it’s a Christmas tree!
Hooray! Hooray! It’s New Year’s Day
— By Kenn Nesbitt
Hooray! Hooray! It’s New Year’s Day!
The day we start anew.
So this year I’ve decided
To become a kangaroo!
Or maybe i will learn to fly,
Or how to walk through walls,
Or how to turn invisible,
Or surf on waterfalls.
I’ll make myself elastic
And I’ll teach myself to shrink.
I’ll turn into a liquid
And I’ll pour me down the sink.
I’ll visit other planets
And meet aliens galore.
I’ll travel to the distant past
And ride a dinosaur.
I’ve got so many wondrous plans.
I’m starting right away.
Yes, this will be the best year yet.
Hooray! It’s New Year’s Day!

Snowflakes falling one by one.
Time to play and have some fun.
Build a snowman, snowballs too.
Come and see what you can do.
Snowflakes are falling on the ground,
On our houses and in our town.
On my nose and in my hair.
Snowflakes are falling everywhere.
Children arte skiing, children are skating,
Sledging down the hills
Winter is charming when it is coming
With snow and frost all around.
